Project 0115
This project will enable MEBSH schools to serve some of Haiti’s most vulnerable children.
For decades, the Mission Evangelique Baptiste du Sud d’Haiti (MEBSH) has dedicated itself to educating and
empowering vulnerable and restavek children by establishing specialized schools where these children are taught
to read, write and do arithmetic — all skills they would never have learned otherwise.
Because the free schools run by this Christian network meet the need for food and education, they reduce the
likelihood that children of extremely impoverished families will be sent into servitude. Recently, because of
the catastrophic impact of Hurricane Matthew, 13 of the 15 schools were either damaged or destroyed. Eventually,
we hope to rebuild all of the schools that were damaged. Your gift is needed to help provide food, deliver supplies,
and train teachers to guide students during this traumatic period in their lives!
We meticulously honor the intent of our donors. 100% of all proceeds are restricted for the specific project for which
they are raised. In the rare event that more funds are received than are required for a specific project, the additional
funds will be used to meet the most urgent needs of the poor.
All donations made to Cross International are tax deductible and receipts will be provided. If you choose to contribute
without seeking additional information, please remember to include the project name and number with your gift. Thank
you and may God bless you!
